PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION POLICY

At Blackbox Travel and Tourism (“Flybb”), we understand that your privacy is important and that disclosing your personal information involves a great deal of trust on your part. Blackbox Travel and Tourism is committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring the protection and confidentiality of the personal information you provide to us.

Blackbox Travel and Tourism will ensure that your personal data is administered and protected to the extent required under applicable UAE data protection laws and other relevant regulations.

1. CONSENT

By submitting your personal data to Blackbox Travel and Tourism, you consent to our using the personal data and information you have shared for the purpose (the “Purpose”) for which you submitted it. You further consent to us disclosing the information and personal data you have given to our third-party vendors or suppliers who provide services or functions on our behalf, including but not limited to airline and hotel bookings, credit card processing, business analytics, customer service, marketing, and other related activities.

In addition, by sharing your information with us, you accept and confirm that: (a) the information you have given to Blackbox Travel and Tourism is complete and accurate; and (b) that your failure to provide complete and accurate information may potentially result in Blackbox Travel and Tourism’s inability to provide you with any of the products and services you have requested. In such a case, you agree that Blackbox Travel and Tourism shall not be liable for any damages arising from the said inability.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTED

Blackbox Travel and Tourism receives and stores the information you provide. This includes information that can identify you (“personal information”), including your first and last name, telephone number, postal and email addresses, fax number, credit card information (such as credit card number, cardholder name, and expiration date). We may also request information about your airline and hotel preferences, loyalty, frequent flyer, and/or car rental program information. While you can choose not to provide information, some information is required to complete transactions with us.

Blackbox Travel and Tourism may also periodically obtain personal and non-personal information about you from affiliated entities, business partners, and other independent third-party sources. Examples of information we may receive include updated delivery and address information, and demographic information.

3. INFORMATION USE

We use credit card information (such as cardholder name, credit card number, and expiration date) to complete transactions with us. We use other information for the following general purposes: to provide you with the products and services you request; to manage your account; to communicate with you in general; to respond to your inquiries; to allow us to contact you for customer service, if necessary; to improve our services and website; to notify you about special offers and travel-related products and services; to prevent prohibited or illegal activities; to enforce the terms of our agreements with you; and as described to you at the point of collection.

We may also send you email messages and/or SMS containing travel-related offers or updates based on your interests. You may choose to opt out of receiving these communications.

4. SHARING OF INFORMATION

Blackbox Travel and Tourism may share your information with:

  • Suppliers: such as hotels, airlines, car rental companies, and activity providers, to fulfill your travel reservations. These suppliers may contact you as needed to facilitate your travel arrangements or address any issues.
  • Third-party vendors: who provide services on our behalf, such as credit card processing, business analytics, customer service, and marketing. These vendors are not permitted to use your information for any other purpose.
  • Business partners: with whom we may jointly offer products or services.
  • Corporate affiliates: within our leisure and travel sector, to inform you about services that may interest you.

Additionally, we may share your information:

  • When required by UAE law or legal processes.
  • When necessary to protect Blackbox Travel and Tourism’s rights, property, or safety.
  • In connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or sale.
  • In aggregated or anonymous form with third parties, including advertisers and investors.

5. RETENTION

Your personal data may be retained by Blackbox Travel and Tourism for a period as necessary to fulfill the Purpose or as required by applicable laws and regulations.

6. DATA PROTECTION

We are committed to safeguarding the information we collect. While no security system is 100% secure, we have implemented appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security procedures to protect your personal information. Access to personal information is restricted to authorized Blackbox Travel and Tourism employees and only for legitimate business purposes. We use encryption to protect sensitive data and employ firewalls and intrusion detection systems to prevent unauthorized access.

7. DATA DELETION

Dormant accounts will be reviewed annually, and personal information may be deleted after 5 years of dormancy. To request the deletion of your records, please contact us via email at info@flybb.ae with the subject “PERSONAL INFORMATION DELETION REQUEST.” Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing.

9. AMENDMENT OF POLICY

Blackbox Travel and Tourism may amend this policy from time to time and will make the updated policy available. The terms of this policy shall prevail over any other agreements in case of inconsistency. This policy is governed by the laws of the UAE.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of September 01, 2024.
